I will dominate 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair confronted each other to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex twice unified boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As both boxers engaged in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
