19 of Daniil Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been won on hard surfaces
A comeback Medvedev secured his first championship for over two years with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament final.
The athlete, a former top-ranked player, has endured a torrid year, managing just one win at the Grand Slams and undergoing a difficult moment at the US Open.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his serve in especial - caused him falling of the top ten and ultimately splitting with former trainer Gilles Cervara.
Currently training with his coach and his other coach, Medvedev has gradually progressed in the past month - climaxing in a hard-fought competitive win over challenger Corentin Moutet.
This represents his maiden championship since the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hardcourt after March of that year.
Victory also signifies he has won twenty-one titles at twenty-one various events.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a event with my children together, so to get a trophy is particularly special," stated ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in honour of my second daughter my daughter, because the initial championship I won when my older daughter Alisa was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the former major winner, had been defeated in his previous six finals, featuring in that event in the past months.
The player's defensive approach and frequent emotional displays on the playing surface had caused some to wonder if his skill to compete at the elite level was concluded.
But the 29-year-old has made changes in the last few weeks, striving to approach the net and compete aggressively, reinforced by an better service.
The champion fought back from a disadvantage in the initial set against the difficult Frenchman, taking 4 of the last five points to gain the advantage.
The competitors exchanged breaks in the following set before the challenger, bidding for his initial tour championship, seized the initiative to force a third set.
The opponent defended 4 initial opportunities in a competitive final set before Medvedev broke to 15 to secure the win.
Appropriately, Medvedev secured victory with a shot at the net, with his opponent unable to manage a return after over two and a half hours.
